About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Manager to join our team at Associate Capital. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for coordinating site logistics for multiple contractors on a 29-acre master planned development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management and Organization
    • Manage overall logistics for all on-site construction activities to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of each individual construction project, while maintaining compliance with all applicable licenses, easements, and permits.
    • Coordinate and manage daily operational needs across multiple contractors and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
    • Ensure that any construction activities that may impact our neighbors are adequately noticed and coordinated to minimize disruptions to their businesses as well as our construction.
  • Coordination and Communication
    • Facilitate regular meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to review progress, resolve issues, and organize site logistics, in consultation with appropriate team members.
    • Help mediate disagreements between contractors to ensure smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
    • Proactively identify any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction and work with appropriate team members to help resolve them.
  • Site Safety and Security
    • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on the construction site.
    • Manage overall site safety conditions and communicate logistical/safety issues to the contractors.
    • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, photographs, and change orders.
    • Provide regular status updates and raise issues to the project construction lead and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in construction management. Prior experience managing civil/sitework and/or managing large construction projects in San Francisco is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple contractors and large construction sites effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and sound judgment.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations as it relates to sitework requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
What We Offer
  • Annual base salary range of $110,000 to $175,000 depending on experience.
  • Potential for housing stipend for applicants residing or willing to relocate within 1 mile of the project site.
  • Annual bonus.
  • Company pays 70% of medical, vision, and dental premiums for employee and family (or $350 monthly stipend for waiver of health benefits).
  • HSA with employer contributions ($250/month for individual or $500 for family).
  • 401K with 50% employer match (up to 4.5% of base salary).
  • 10 days PTO per year, plus any office closures per company policy as it may be amended periodically.
  • Statutory sick leave (currently 72 hours per year).
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave (birthing parent) or 12 weeks paid parental leave (non-birthing parent).
