Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversees a retail unit, dedicated to fostering a consistent and positive customer journey. Aids in the management and supervision of all staff and operational activities, ensuring smooth execution of all retail and production processes, including order fulfillment, delivery, and quality assurance. Acts as the store leader in the absence of the Store Manager. The Assistant Retail Manager is expected to carry out all responsibilities typically assigned to team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibits consultative behaviors to guarantee friendly, courteous, and expert service is provided to all patrons.
  • Assesses the effectiveness and productivity of team members in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Addresses customer disputes and complaints as necessary to ensure prompt resolution and satisfaction.
  • Creates a customer-centric atmosphere throughout the store (including production, retail, self-service, and shipping) and maintains a clean and professional environment.
  • Implements and manages a customer flow process in the store to enhance service experience, ensuring customer needs are met efficiently and quality products are provided.
  • Facilitates training and development of team members during assigned shifts by tracking objectives and offering constructive feedback.
  • Conducts interviews for potential candidates, adheres to all company hiring protocols, and assists the Store Manager in the recruitment of team members.
  • Mentors, advises, and provides performance feedback to team members to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Maintains communication with the Store Lead Consultant and/or production team to ensure deadlines are achieved and quality assessments are conducted.
  • Supervises shipping-related services and activities.
  • Responsible for relaying information to the Store Manager and team members regarding daily/weekly/monthly objectives, performance metrics, customer concerns, and company initiatives.
  • Adheres to and enforces FedEx Office established policies and procedures, maintaining a controlled environment.
  • Assists the Store Manager in payroll review and daily POS closeout.
  • Performs various administrative tasks as required, including scheduling, payroll management, training compliance, inventory management, and supply ordering.
  • Undertakes any other duties as necessary or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • 1+ year of relevant experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, excluding meal and rest breaks.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend and twist at the waist and knees consistently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members consistently.
  • Ability to collaborate and follow instructions consistently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under significant pressure.
  • Ability to maintain focus and concentration for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and adhere to established business hours to support FedEx Office operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and maximum. Actual starting pay will be determined by experience, market level, and other job-related factors. Additional pay, premiums, or bonuses may be available. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $24.65/Hr
