Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing a specific business unit within the store, with a strong emphasis on fostering a consistent and positive experience for customers. This role includes supervising team members and managing various business operations, including production, retail processes, pick-up and delivery, shipping, and quality control. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Retail Manager assumes full responsibility for store operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibits consultative behaviors to ensure that all customers receive friendly, polite, and expert service.
  • Assesses the productivity and efficiency of team members in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Addresses customer disputes and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Creates a customer-centric environment throughout the store, ensuring cleanliness and professionalism in all areas.
  • Implements and manages customer flow processes to enhance service experiences and meet customer needs efficiently.
  • Facilitates training and development for team members during assigned shifts, providing constructive feedback and monitoring progress.
  • Participates in the recruitment process by interviewing candidates and assisting the Store Manager with hiring decisions.
  • Provides coaching and feedback to team members to ensure compliance with company policies and performance standards.
  • Maintains communication with the Store Lead Consultant and production team to meet deadlines and conduct quality checks.
  • Oversees shipping services and related activities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Communicates daily, weekly, and monthly goals, performance metrics, and customer issues with the Store Manager and team members.
  • Ensures adherence to established company policies and procedures, maintaining a controlled environment.
  • Assists the Store Manager with payroll review and daily point-of-sale closeouts.
  • Performs additional administrative tasks as required, including scheduling, payroll management, inventory control, and supply ordering.
  • Completes other duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, excluding breaks.
  • Capability to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Consistent ability to bend and twist at the waist and knees.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to collaborate and follow instructions in a team environment.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting under pressure.
  • Strong focus and attention to detail over extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Regular attendance and adherence to established business hours are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is provided as a reasonable estimate of the starting pay across various locations. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, market level, and other job-related factors.
