Role Summary:
The Aerospace Systems Specialist will collaborate closely with the Director of Airborne Systems and the Director of Engineering to formulate growth strategies, develop new products, initiate IRaD projects, and create market penetration plans within the airborne data transfer, storage, and recording sectors. This position will also oversee the technical execution of NRE projects.

Our core business revolves around hardware and software solutions utilized for Mission Planning and Debriefing, as well as airborne Data Transfer Receptacles and Cartridges compatible with various aircraft models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert in airborne data transfer and storage systems, including audio and video recording technologies.
  • Assist in formulating the strategic roadmap and growth initiatives for the organization.
  • Develop technical approaches to support new business and growth initiatives.
  • Design and implement IRaD plans.
  • Oversee the execution of NRE projects.
  • Conduct customer requirement analysis, feasibility assessments, and develop technical solutions, including test strategies and engineering designs.
  • Mentor junior engineers unfamiliar with airborne products.
  • Provide technical guidance to the Directors during new business pursuits to ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Lead a diverse team in executing technical projects and managing risks.
  • Contribute to the creation of system solutions that adapt to the evolving demands of our clients.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including potential international travel.

Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of airborne data transfer, storage, and audio/video recording systems for fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and unmanned aircraft.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in hardware, software, and systems engineering for complex aerospace and avionics systems, with a minimum of 5 years in airborne data transfer and recording systems.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance due to export controls and ITAR regulations.
  • Experience across all phases of the systems engineering process, from requirements analysis to verification testing.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve success.
