Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous CMM Specialist to enhance our dynamic team. In this role, you will be tasked with programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to assess and verify our aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute CMM programs to evaluate precision machined components, ensuring adherence to design specifications and client requirements.
2. Operate and maintain CMM machinery for inspections and measurements.
3. Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and apply it effectively in CMM programming and inspections.
4. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to grasp product specifications and devise suitable inspection methodologies.
5. Analyze inspection outcomes, identify patterns, and provide insights to enhance manufacturing processes.
6. Ensure compliance with AS9100 and other pertinent industry standards during all inspection and measurement activities.
7. Mentor and train junior personnel in CMM programming and operations.
8. Continuously assess and propose enhancements to inspection processes and equipment to boost accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CMM Specialist, preferably within the aerospace domain.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in CMM programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and precision measurement techniques.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards and aerospace components.
- Knowledgeable in metrology problem-solving techniques.
