Position Overview:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for the role of PC Maintenance Technician . This position is integral to ensuring the seamless operation of computer systems and related technologies. Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for both Windows and Apple desktop and mobile systems. Conduct necessary hardware repairs to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Address and troubleshoot cell phone hardware and software problems, including part replacements for various devices.
  • Engage directly with clients to resolve technical issues, utilizing excellent customer service skills through in-person interactions, phone calls, and email communications. Document all solutions and repairs in the designated tracking system.
  • Provide support for personal computer operations and assist users in navigating PC software effectively.
  • Assist in the management and upkeep of computer and software licensing records, as well as asset inventories.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: At least one year of relevant experience in a technical support role.
Compensation:
The anticipated hiring range for this position is between $16 and $17.31 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. This is a non-exempt position with benefits.
