Job Overview:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Production Engineering Team is actively seeking Product Quality Assurance Engineers to enhance our team. A successful candidate will leverage extensive knowledge of Boeing's design and engineering principles to evaluate products and processes, addressing challenges to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes foundational knowledge of Boeing's design and engineering methodologies to devise interim or final engineering solutions for product and process challenges throughout production, including technical, operational, and quality issues that require resolution.
  • Conducts analyses, including failure and root cause analyses, to identify underlying issues.
  • Assists in identifying effective solutions.
  • Drafts written dispositions for standard design non-conformances.
  • Supports initiatives to pinpoint deviations that may affect design intent, safety, and product/process enhancements.
  • Develops routine communications for clients regarding the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Participates in Material Review Boards and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Ensures compliance of suppliers and build partners with Boeing standards, representing the engineering community in the production environment.
  • Recommends basic non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards. Performs simple static strength analyses to verify that interim design repairs meet original design load criteria.

Security Clearance Requirement: This position necessitates the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is mandatory.

Work Environment: This role is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work at one of the designated locations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, or Supplier Quality.
  • At least 1 year of experience in performing Material Review Board (MRB) product evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Defense sector clients.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Team Center, NX, IVT, MES, Gold, Aurora, VisMockup, 3D Printed Parts, Moonshine Shop, Im-Dev.

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced Level: Typically requires advanced technical education from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior Level: Typically requires advanced technical education from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Salary Range: Summary pay range for experienced level: $90,100 - $121,900; for senior level: $113,050 - $152,950.
