Responsibilities

Your Role:

We are seeking a Transportation Engineer who is enthusiastic about Project Management Oversight to enhance our engineering division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project management for federal clients, ensuring projects adhere to timelines, budgets, design standards, quality benchmarks, and federal regulations while being constructed according to approved plans and specifications.
  • Collaborate with various local, state, and federal clients and stakeholders on transportation improvement initiatives, both large and small.
  • Independently tackle complex tasks, consulting with Project Managers, Senior Engineers, and Senior Planners as necessary.
  • May engage in managing smaller projects or specific phases of larger projects, including supervising and reviewing the work of junior engineers, planners, and technicians.
  • Consult with supervisors and clients on technical issues related to engineering and planning specialties.
  • Coordinate team tasks and monitor progress with all project staff.
  • Organize and actively participate in client meetings and discussions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, graphics, and presentation materials.
  • Propose innovative ideas and concepts to enhance project outcomes and improve the company's operational capabilities.
Qualifications

What We Seek:
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in a variety of transportation-related projects.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
  • Experience in capital projects, construction, planning, public administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Background in transit, rail, and transportation infrastructure.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software systems.
  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging mutual learning among team members.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace that values diversity and equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities we serve.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Primavera/Scheduling and Cost Estimating.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
