Job Summary

Commercial Plastics Nebraska is seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by performing preventative maintenance on our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks on our molding presses and support equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Repair: Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment under the supervision of our Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Supply Management: Maintain accurate records of supplies and equipment needs, and report any issues or concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure that all equipment and tools are properly stored and maintained.
  • Safety: Identify and report any potential safety hazards, and participate in regular safety inspections and training.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and previous experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ability to lift and carry 55 pounds, and good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications and Training: Forklift certification and ability to obtain other necessary certifications and training.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a moderate noise level. The employee is required to wear steel-toed shoes and eye protection, and hearing protection is available if desired.
