Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Services
    • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, accurately operating equipment and adjusting technical factors to produce clear images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Ensure all ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning within established standards.
  • Patient Care
    • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort and minimizing anxiety during imaging procedures.
  • Communication
    • Effectively communicate with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless imaging services.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Must have successfully completed accredited Ultrasound Technology training from an American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and be registered (or eligible for registry) as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Certifications
    • Must possess or obtain certification in Physics and either OB/GYN or Abdomen within 24 months post Ultrasound education.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Previous experience in area of licensure is preferred.
    • Ability to learn and navigate computer systems, including online training modules, employee timesheets, and performance appraisal systems.
    • Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Sitting – Approximately 25% of shift.
    • Standing – Approximately 50% of shift.
    • Walking – Approximately 25% of shift.
    • Lifting – Approximately 35 pounds.
    • Twisting – Infrequent.
    • Bending – Moderate.
    • Squat/Kneel – Occasionally less than 25% of shift.
