Waverly Health Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging Services
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, accurately operating equipment and adjusting technical factors to produce clear images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure all ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning within established standards.
- Patient Care
- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort and minimizing anxiety during imaging procedures.
- Communication
- Effectively communicate with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless imaging services.
- Education and Certification
- Must have successfully completed accredited Ultrasound Technology training from an American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and be registered (or eligible for registry) as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- Certifications
- Must possess or obtain certification in Physics and either OB/GYN or Abdomen within 24 months post Ultrasound education.
- Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in area of licensure is preferred.
- Ability to learn and navigate computer systems, including online training modules, employee timesheets, and performance appraisal systems.
- Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
- Physical Requirements
- Sitting – Approximately 25% of shift.
- Standing – Approximately 50% of shift.
- Walking – Approximately 25% of shift.
- Lifting – Approximately 35 pounds.
- Twisting – Infrequent.
- Bending – Moderate.
- Squat/Kneel – Occasionally less than 25% of shift.
