Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, technical, and electrical challenges, contributing to the overall efficiency of our plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across various equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Execute timely repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery, including but not limited to mixing systems, packaging equipment, and motors.
  • Engage in troubleshooting both automated and manual production systems, including PLCs and HMIs, in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Utilize analytical skills to evaluate and resolve complex technical problems with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Adapt to flexible work schedules, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational demands.
  • Serve as a technical resource, offering support and guidance to operational staff.
  • Contribute positively to team dynamics and foster a collaborative work atmosphere.
  • Investigate root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Follow established work orders meticulously, ensuring accuracy in routine tasks.
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols and addressing any related concerns.
  • Maintain compliance with Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) standards, promptly reporting any issues.
  • Respond efficiently to maintenance requests, assisting in operational improvements with a proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities while maintaining professionalism.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process enhancements and reliability improvements.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: 2-year Technical Trade school certification, military training, or Journeyman License.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on equipment operation, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in the food industry is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with technical manuals and precision measurement instruments.
  • Experience with work orders and web-based applications.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Comfortable with heights, confined spaces, and varying temperature environments.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to listen and respond to operational needs.
Available Shifts:
  • Sunday through Wednesday: Sunday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Wednesday 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
