Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Commercial Plastics Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by performing preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily checks and maintenance on molding presses and support equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Repair: Perform minor repairs under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Supply Chain Management: Assist in the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure timely replacement of parts and supplies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Basic working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to loud noises and hazardous materials. Steel-toed shoes and eye protection are required. Hearing protection is available if desired.
