Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, technical, and electrical challenges across the facility, ensuring optimal functionality of all operational equipment.


Execute prompt repairs and preventive maintenance on diverse machinery, including mixing and extruding systems, packaging devices, metal detection units, sealers, motors, pumps, and conveyor systems.


Diagnose both automated and manual production machinery, encompassing PLCs, HMIs, and Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems in a dynamic work environment.

Employ analytical skills to swiftly evaluate, interpret, and resolve intricate issues with minimal supervision and varying levels of uncertainty.

Exhibit self-management, showcasing strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage with all tiers of plant personnel.

Adaptability to work during weekends, holidays, and various shifts as necessary to fulfill the operational demands of the facility.

Serve as a technical advisor, offering support and direction to operational staff.


Collaborate as part of a team, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere and effectively partnering with both internal and external stakeholders.

Determine root causes of issues, implementing solutions that address fundamental problems.

Adhere to standard work orders, executing routine and repetitive tasks with precision and thoroughness.

Conduct tasks safely, complying with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, identifying and addressing any EHS concerns.

Maintain compliance with all Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) standards, reporting and rectifying any FSQ discrepancies within the facility.


Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, assisting operations in enhancing efficiencies with a constructive attitude and a mentoring approach.

Demonstrate creativity and the capacity to manage multiple tasks, adjusting priorities swiftly while upholding professionalism in a fluctuating environment.

Continuously pursue opportunities for enhancement and reliability improvements within the facility.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.

Completion of a 2-year Technical Trade school program, military certifications, vocational training, and/or Journeyman License preferred.


2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, including operation, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment such as pumps, mechanical drives, lubrication systems, fasteners, piping, motors, pneumatics, sensors, and automatic valves.

Previous experience in the food sector is advantageous.

Hands-on experience with power tools and maintenance shop equipment.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.

Proficiency in utilizing technical manuals and precision measurement instruments.

Experience with work orders and web-based computer applications.


Capability to remain on your feet for up to 12 hours and to lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.


Comfortable with climbing ladders, working at heights, performing overhead tasks, working in confined spaces, and operating in extreme temperature conditions.


Effective communication skills and attentive listening abilities while performing physically demanding tasks, such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday.


Available Shifts:

Sundays through Wednesdays:
Sundays 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Mondays through Wednesdays 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
