Job Summary

The Bay Club Company is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food for banquets and the Café. You will work closely with the Chef to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Handling, Preparation and Presentation
    • Prepare and cook food to order, using advanced presentation and cooking techniques.
    • Assist in plating food items for service.
    • Handle leftover food items, as necessary and/or directed.
  • Sanitation and Safety
    • Operate food production equipment according to manufacturers' instructions.
    • Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices, including HAACP guidelines.
    • Clean banquet preparation and serving equipment, work station areas and kitchen, as needed.
    • Return soiled food preparation utensils and small wares to the proper areas.
    • Ensure proper safety and sanitation to ensure food and safety compliance.
    • Conduct daily walk-throughs of the kitchen to ensure a clean, organized, safe and well-maintained facility.
    • Promote the company's safety goals and actively work towards ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Communication & Relationships
    • Effectively and professionally interact and communicate with management, other Associates, and vendors.
    • Promote harmonious relations among staff, vendors, and the community at-large.
    • Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate.
    • Participate in required events, required programs, required meetings and required trainings.
    • Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response.
  • Corporate Goals & Objectives
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure the TBCC mission and club brand is upheld in all aspects of kitchen operations.
    • Actively further corporate objectives and continuously support improvement and positive change, which may include participating on corporate designated committees to improve the company and business operations.
    • Make professional development a consistent priority.
Requirements
  • Minimum one (1) year of Customer Service experience (food service industry experience preferred)
  • Food Safety certified
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, anticipate the needs of others and willing to acquire new skills
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Detail-orientation and high cleanliness standards
