About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and professional Culinary Banquet Specialist to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare high-quality meals that align with the chef's specifications and presentation standards. You will also be tasked with maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas, managing food inventory, ensuring proper storage, and adhering to sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, present themselves in a professional manner, and excel at multitasking. Your role will be crucial in enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting our catering services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the mission and values of BoujieMana in all actions.
  • Inspect and maintain food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary practices.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at appropriate temperatures.
  • Guarantee the freshness and quality of all food items.
  • Prepare various dishes using the chef's recipes or instructions.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately according to recipes.
  • Handle and prepare fresh produce.
  • Perform butchery tasks as required.
  • Assist in closing the kitchen following established procedures.
  • Prepare and serve food for catered events.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.
  • Lift and manage items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Support additional preparation needs as required by BoujieMana.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in cooking roles such as Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook is advantageous.
  • Valid Food Handlers Card.
  • Proficient in English comprehension.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to execute tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of best practices in restaurant operations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Aptitude for multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit.

Availability: Morning availability is required, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
