Role Overview

Our Technical Program Managers play a crucial role in facilitating our Engineering teams by leading a variety of initiatives. These initiatives focus on enhancing our infrastructure and optimizing our development workflows, ensuring that we deliver our product strategies on time and with exceptional quality. This position is vital for helping the organization achieve its larger goals and improving the overall user experience.

We are in search of a Senior Technical Program Manager to enhance our vibrant team. In this capacity, you will work closely with Engineering leaders to define and implement initiatives aimed at achieving operational excellence. You will have the distinct opportunity to drive substantial enhancements, shape our strategic direction, and establish processes that guarantee scalability and efficiency across our offerings. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will oversee technical programs across various engineering domains, align project objectives with business goals, and cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering team leaders to outline project scope, coordinate, and monitor technical programs throughout the Engineering division.
  • Engage across multiple strategic initiatives in managing and communicating comprehensive project schedules (e.g., epics, sprint plans, milestones, timelines, and releases) while ensuring accountability among stakeholders.
  • Identify avenues for enhancing organizational execution to boost engineering productivity through effective tools and streamlined processes.
  • Extend your influence by educating and mentoring the TPM and Engineering teams on best practices in program management.
  • Oversee requirements documentation, milestone tracking, prioritization, and program communication. Utilize your technical insight to collaborate with and guide engineers in delivering effective solutions.
  • Provide clear status updates to all levels of leadership, including technical progress and its implications for business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Operations, or Agile/Scrum methodologies as a Scrum Master.
  • Strong program management capabilities with a blend of technical and business knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to develop domain expertise in your operational area - while TPMs are not expected to code, they should comprehend system flows, architectural blocks, APIs, and similar concepts.
  • Proficient with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • A proactive self-starter with the ability to take initiative and quickly learn to drive operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with mobile application development and associated technologies.
  • Prior experience in developing mobile and web applications.
  • Certifications such as CSM, PMI-ACP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools like Grafana, Mode, or similar.
  • Experience collaborating with Product teams.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $146,000 - $180,000 annually. Factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, and market considerations may influence the base pay offered. This salary range reflects a position based in specific locations and will be subject to geographic adjustments if applicable.
