Senior Vice President of Capacity and Resource Strategy

The Workforce Management division is at the forefront of driving Citigroup's strategic initiatives concerning staffing optimization, skill alignment, and organizational structure. This is a pivotal moment to become part of our team as we embark on the development of essential capabilities, methodologies, and tools aimed at analyzing, forecasting, organizing, and planning for the future workforce landscape. Our global team comprises highly driven professionals dedicated to ensuring that Citigroup maintains an optimal workforce with the appropriate skills, positioned effectively, and managed efficiently. The role of Capacity and Resource Strategy is integral to the enterprise workforce management framework, focusing on the design and execution of processes and governance related to demand and supply management, capacity planning, and resource allocation. This position will be instrumental in integrating demand, capacity, and resource management practices throughout the organization while advocating for transformative initiatives among key stakeholders in Human Resources, Finance, and operational units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design and execution of the Demand, Capacity, and Resource Planning framework. This encompasses the creation and implementation of strategic roadmaps, processes, tools, controls, technology requirements, and change management strategies to enhance standardization and sustainability of workforce management in alignment with financial planning.
  • Facilitate business units across Citigroup in identifying their operational demands, comprehending the underlying factors, and evaluating their capacity requirements and deficiencies.
  • Lead the revision and enhancement of operational standards and procedures.
  • Articulate corporate standards and collaborate with business/function stakeholders to foster alignment across the organization regarding forecasting and workforce planning methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the Workforce Management Strategy & Programs team to onboard and enable technology for resource tracking, including the design of the operational model and change management framework.
  • Work closely with People Insights, Workforce Management Solutions, Partner Engagement & Adoption, Finance, and Skills Planning Teams to synchronize solutions that integrate operations across Citigroup.
  • Guide the transition of the organization to advanced Resource Management tools, including position management systems.
  • Contribute to the timely fulfillment of regulatory obligations related to resource management.
Qualifications
  • Over 10 years of experience in Resource Management, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Finance, or Strategic Planning.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Workforce Planning methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial planning, analytics, and operational management.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to engage with senior executives and inspire global teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate executive-level reports and insights.
  • Experience in leading end-to-end design and change management within a large, regulated organization.
  • Practical experience in drafting and managing operational procedures and standards.
  • Proven ability to innovate, adapt, and lead process transformation initiatives that deliver significant business value.
  • Strong execution skills with meticulous attention to detail while maintaining a focus on overarching objectives.
  • Capacity to achieve results and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving goals and priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills, demonstrating cultural awareness across diverse geographic regions.
  • Effective leader with a proven track record of coaching and influencing peers in decision-making and strategic processes.

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
