Job Summary:

The Vice President of Quality Enhancement will be responsible for the formulation, oversight, and execution of strategies aimed at elevating the performance of healthcare contracts and ensuring adherence to clinical quality management standards. This leadership role is accountable for the overall quality outcomes across various care service products, including performance metrics and outcome-based initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy, ensuring effective execution and measurable results in a collaborative environment.
  • Work closely with regional and local business leaders to enhance quality metrics and fulfill contractual quality obligations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions to devise innovative strategies that prioritize beneficiary needs and address underlying quality issues.
  • Leverage insights from enterprise-wide learnings to inform operational practices and enhance quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with quality programs while identifying opportunities for service and outcome improvements.
  • Oversee the establishment and execution of quality management policies, procedures, and guidelines; assist in formulating clinical management standards.
  • Utilize project management expertise to assess quality initiatives, monitor progress, and refine strategies to meet established goals.
  • Act as a quality advocate and subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage quality analytics capabilities, collaborating with analytics teams to report on key performance indicators.
  • Align resources across various departments, including member services, care management, and data analytics.
  • Keep senior leadership informed of performance standards, opportunities, and potential risks, along with mitigation strategies.
  • Innovate best practices in critical contractual areas, focusing on alternative payment models and delivery system reforms.
  • Develop strategies that engage providers and members to close care gaps, enhance quality, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Guide the organization towards a culture of continuous quality improvement utilizing established methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Improvement or Quality Assurance within the healthcare sector.
  • At least 4 years of management experience leading diverse teams in analytics, operations, and project management.
  • Proven experience with quality reporting requirements and clinical program management.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare accreditation standards and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees and certifications preferred.
