Senior Vice President of Issue Management

Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Issue Management will collaborate closely with the Global Business & Risk Controls Team and key stakeholders within the organization, reporting directly to the Issue Management Director. This role is pivotal in enhancing and maintaining the enterprise issue management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
The SVP will spearhead initiatives aimed at refining the operational aspects of the issue management program, which encompasses policies, standards, and execution related to issue identification, root cause analysis, remediation, closure, monitoring, reporting, and escalation. The goal is to ensure comprehensive, consistent, accurate, and timely resolution of issues.
This position necessitates the development of strong relationships with counterparts across various business and functional units. The individual will lead workstreams and reviews, providing clear direction to a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
The SVP will serve as the primary lead for specific workstreams, responsible for the successful completion of assigned tasks and reviews, while also addressing challenges and preparing relevant presentations to ensure the delivery of superior output.
Initial Focus:
The initial emphasis will be on addressing high-severity issues and areas identified by regulators that require immediate attention. Over time, the focus will shift to managing Business-as-Usual (BAU) control issues and overseeing these matters.
Qualifications:
- A degree from a prestigious academic institution.
- At least ten years of experience in the financial services sector.
- Proven track record in leading and directing deliverables, offering recommendations, and taking initiative on projects or team tasks.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated success in completing tasks in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of driving outcomes independently and escalating issues as necessary.
- Excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to engage with colleagues across various business sectors and cultures.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in developing control frameworks and risk management strategies, potentially in a consulting or strategic capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business applications.
- A collaborative approach to working within and across project teams, functional areas, and business units.
