Job Overview

Ideal Force is seeking a dedicated Project Manager for a CONTRACT position. This role is designed for a professional who will collaborate with our client to enhance their cybersecurity initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

This role involves supporting Cyber Command in executing projects and strategies that bolster the statewide cybersecurity framework.

The Project Manager will assist the Statewide Information Security and Privacy Office (SISPO) in achieving the information security objectives set forth by the State CISO.

Daily operational activities of various projects will be coordinated to align with the long-term cybersecurity aspirations of the Department.


Required Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with organizational methodologies and tools.
  • Understanding of policies and procedures within the organization.
  • Ability to navigate interrelationships among various internal and external functions.

Essential Abilities:
  • Effectively balance, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks.
  • Collaborate efficiently within teams and across different organizations.
  • Adapt plans based on feedback and insights.
  • Establish strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Develop and produce technical documentation.
  • Lead teams in crafting solutions for clients.

Preferred Skills:

Advanced project management capabilities and a solid understanding of LEAN principles and tools to optimize resource use while fostering continuous improvement.


Experience Requirements:

Proven track record in managing multiple medium to large-scale projects, including complex initiatives, in support of the Statewide Security Program. Responsibilities include:

  • Defining project missions, goals, tasks, and resource needs.
  • Leading the planning and execution of projects.
  • Creating methods to monitor project progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Managing projects based on established standards while being open to new approaches.
  • Resolving conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
  • Working cross-functionally to address challenges and implement solutions.
  • Proactively identifying, mitigating, and reporting project risks.
  • Overseeing project budgets and resource allocation.

Experience Preferred:

A minimum of 3 years in project coordination and management or equivalent experience.


Educational Background:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred: Arizona State Project Management Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience with Continuous Improvement or LEAN methodologies is advantageous.

Additional Information:

This position may require a standard background check, including fingerprinting and a social security trace. The majority of work will be conducted remotely, with occasional in-person meetings for key events.
