Role Overview:

The Scholarship Program Coordinator will serve as a vital resource for current and prospective students, providing guidance on scholarship policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:
  • Offering counseling on tuition planning and financial assistance application processes.
  • Developing and updating departmental procedures to enhance scholarship practices.
  • Monitoring scholarship programs and recommending necessary changes to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with marketing to maintain scholarship resources on the web.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with individual donors, corporations, and community organizations to facilitate scholarship opportunities.
  • Reviewing financial aid applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Interpreting and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations governing student aid.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of funding guidelines and regulations.
  • Fostering close collaboration with various institutional departments.
  • Participating in Student Financial Services meetings and events.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to prospective students.
Qualifications:
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Clear and pleasant phone communication.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Preferred experience in financial aid.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in PC-based word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • A dedicated and private workspace with high-speed internet is required for remote work.
