Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Cardiovascular Services Manager, the Administrative Assistant will:

  • Manage the scheduling of all patient procedures related to Cardiology Services, including coordinating with various departments for seamless operations.
  • Document and communicate any changes to the schedule, ensuring all relevant parties are informed promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of physician schedules and patient information, ensuring data integrity in our systems.
  • Facilitate communication between nursing staff and administrative teams regarding scheduled procedures.
  • Oversee the collection of necessary medical documentation and insurance authorizations for patient appointments.
  • Prepare patient charts and ensure all pre-procedure requirements are met.
  • Complete daily scheduling tasks and communicate any outstanding preparations to the closing staff.
  • Alert appropriate personnel regarding any scheduling conflicts that may arise.
Qualifications

Experience

  • Preferred: 3-5 years of knowledge in cardiology procedures.
  • Preferred: At least 2 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
