Job Summary

The Patient Services Specialist 3 provides advanced-level administrative support services in a healthcare setting, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care. This senior-level position handles complex tasks, assists in training staff, and serves as a backup supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in the hiring process and serves as a peer interviewer.
  • Performs patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answers phone calls.
  • Serves as an expert in handling complex tasks and responding to escalated issues.
  • Participates in process improvements initiatives and facilitates team meetings.
  • Mentors and trains staff in processes and procedures.
  • Provides training on applications, website access, and other resources.
  • Serves as backup to supervisor in their absence, as required.
  • Assists in managing schedules, assigning employees tasks, and following up on work results.
  • Monitors and arranges for facility and equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Performs quality assurance audits and orders supplies as requested.
Requirements
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

  • Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation.

  • Ability to mentor and train staff.
