Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Human Resources plays a pivotal role in providing both strategic and operational oversight for the HR functions within a designated segment of the health system.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  2. Direct and oversee the HR team within the assigned operational unit to ensure the effective provision of HR services.
  3. Engage with stakeholders to inform the overall People Strategy and budgetary requirements aligned with business objectives.
  4. Drive process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  5. Collaborate with internal communications to cultivate a positive employee experience.
  6. Represent the operational unit in labor negotiations and manage contract administration.
  7. Oversee daily HR operations, including employee and labor relations.
  8. Ensure that HR strategies align with the overarching goals of the health system.
  9. Participate in leadership meetings and relevant committees to provide HR insights.
  10. Enhancing Employee Experience:
  11. Design and implement initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction.
  12. Regularly assess employee engagement metrics and collaborate with leadership to address any concerns.
  13. Promote a supportive work environment that prioritizes employee well-being.
  14. Talent Acquisition and Planning:
  15. Work closely with the Talent Acquisition leader to streamline recruitment processes.
  16. Develop and execute workforce planning strategies to meet organizational needs.
  17. Align talent acquisition efforts with the organization’s growth objectives.
  18. Learning and Development:
  19. Implement programs that enhance employee skills and competencies.
  20. Support initiatives focused on leadership development.
  21. Facilitate succession planning in alignment with the overall Talent Management strategy.
  22. Compensation and Benefits:
  23. Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness.
  24. Monitor industry trends and recommend adjustments to total rewards strategies.
  25. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies regarding compensation.
  26. Policy Compliance:
  27. Ensure adherence to HR policies and labor regulations.
  28. Address employee relations matters in accordance with organizational guidelines.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  3. Experience in supporting a medical group is preferred.
  4. Experience within the healthcare sector is highly desirable.
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse HR team.
  6. Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
  7. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.

Work Environment:

This role operates within a professional office setting and may involve occasional travel.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position with standard business hours, although flexibility may be necessary to meet the needs of the operational unit and the health system.
