Position Overview:

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Full-time Opportunity in Outpatient and Inpatient Care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough health assessments, including detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures within the scope of practice and maintain accurate logs.
  • Manage a range of conditions such as Anal Abscess/Fistula, Anal Cancer, Colon and Rectal Cancer, and more.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, integrating findings into patient care plans.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on clinical evaluations and patient history.
  • Deliver care in accordance with established policies and clinical guidelines.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments as permitted.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team and engage with patients' families.
  • Document patient interactions comprehensively and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient care.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare colleagues and patients.
  • Excellent communication capabilities.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday; 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Involves coverage at multiple facilities.
  • Weekend call required once a month.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA-C).
  • Preferred experience in inflammatory bowel disease and surgical care.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Valid Florida PA-C license.
  • Current DEA license.
  • Certification from a nationally recognized body.
  • BLS certification.
