Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for a full-time inpatient role at AdventHealth Riverview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and evaluations of radiology patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
- Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests.
- Monitor patient treatment plans and facilitate referrals to physicians or specialists as required.
- Collaborate effectively with supervising physicians and healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Exhibit a compassionate and professional demeanor while fostering personal and professional development.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, patients, and the community.
- Provide care for a diverse patient population, including both pediatric and adult cases.
- Rotate between LP Clinic and IR Clinic, with responsibilities including:
- LP Clinic (lumbar puncture): Inpatient care at designated facilities.
- IR Clinic: Pre and post-operative care, with potential rounding duties but no procedural responsibilities.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Location: AdventHealth Riverview
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing.
- Preferred background in interventional radiology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with lumbar punctures and spinal procedures.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current and valid Florida PA or APRN license.
- Certification from NCCPA, ANCC, or other nationally recognized certifying bodies.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
