Position Overview

Role: Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

This is a full-time opportunity focused on both outpatient and inpatient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough health assessments, including detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures within the scope of practice and maintain accurate logs.
  • Manage a variety of conditions such as Anal Abscess/Fistula, Anal Cancer, Colon and Rectal Cancer, Lower GI bleeding, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Diverticular Disease, and Ostomy care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, integrating findings into patient care plans.
  • Develop appropriate diagnoses based on clinical evaluations.
  • Formulate and implement care plans in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments as per privileges.
  • Provide ongoing education to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team and communicate patient information clearly.
  • Assist in surgical procedures as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues and patients.
  • Excellent communication and medical decision-making skills.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday with rotating on-call responsibilities.

Educational Background:

  • Master's degree in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA-C).
  • Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification is required.
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Valid Florida APRN license.
  • Current DEA license.
  • Certification from a nationally recognized organization (NCCPA, ANCC, etc.).
  • BLS certification.
