Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider specializing in Gastroenterology to work in an outpatient clinical environment.

The selected candidates will be responsible for managing patient care in our GI clinics. They will operate independently while collaborating with practice personnel to evaluate patients, formulate treatment strategies, and manage follow-up care as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Communicate with patients regarding test outcomes and health forecasts.
  • Guide patients on medication and treatment options.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and nursing regulations and standards.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic evaluations, such as x-rays, blood tests, and imaging studies.
  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary and review medical records and reports.
  • Maintain patient documentation and update Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Conduct patient examinations, including taking medical histories and performing physical assessments.
  • Utilize various medical software tools, including those for billing, scheduling, telemedicine, and e-prescribing.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in outpatient Gastroenterology is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships with patients and their families.
