At Snowflake, we are redefining the landscape of data management. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our Cloud Security team.

Your Role: As a pivotal member of our Cloud Security team, you will play a crucial role in elevating the security standards across our cloud environments. We are in search of enthusiastic and skilled individuals with expertise in cloud security architecture and operations. Your mission will be to fortify our cloud infrastructure while fostering a culture of security that aligns with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure robust security measures are in place, vulnerabilities are addressed, and potential threats are identified.
  • Utilize vulnerability assessment tools to evaluate operating systems, containers, and software libraries.
  • Design, deploy, and manage security tools and services that monitor networks, endpoints, and cloud workloads effectively.
  • Create and maintain scalable processes for cloud access provisioning while adhering to the principle of least privilege.
  • Leverage your expertise in systems, network, and cloud security to troubleshoot and resolve issues in production services.
  • Ensure a reliable and low-maintenance infrastructure using advanced technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and immutable images.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in deploying services on public cloud platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud and network security principles.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages.
  • Experience in deploying and customizing security tools to mitigate risks, including CSPM, vulnerability scanners, and web application firewalls.
  • Familiarity with networking and web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, REST) and the ability to analyze traffic for anomalies.
  • Understanding of modern cloud technologies and deployment patterns, including virtual machines, containers, and serverless architectures.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve complex goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in the information security field.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments, particularly with Azure and GCP.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and develop dashboards and reports to enhance security outcomes.
  • Experience utilizing CI/CD pipelines for automated security testing and change management.
  • Familiarity with concepts from 'Site Reliability Engineering' and 'Building Secure & Reliable Systems.'
  • Active contributions to the security community through open-source projects, research, or presentations.
