Role Overview

In the capacity of Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting LJC's leadership team, aiding in the growth and expansion of our firm. Your responsibilities will include securing project commissions and assisting in talent acquisition. You will also be expected to mentor and foster the professional growth of our staff while collaborating across various disciplines within LJC and our parent company, Clayco.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the LJC team, consultants, and clients to ensure project delivery is exceptional, timely, and within budget through effective planning and communication.
  • Oversee communication and interface between team members, clients, and consultants throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring adherence to established milestones.
  • Handle billing, collections, and overall profitability for projects under your supervision.
  • Support business development initiatives and pursuits.
  • Engage in recruitment and interviewing processes to facilitate practice growth.
  • Represent LJC at community and civic events.
  • Embody LJC's core values of integrity, humility, and fearlessness.
  • Contribute to LJC's Core Councils focused on Culture, Integration, Practice, Process, and Sustainability.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in architecture or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in architecture and design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management.
  • Preferred: Registered architect status.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD/Revit, and MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to both internal and external audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building and coaching.
  • Skilled in client communication and relationship management.
