The Role We Want You For

As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in augmenting and assisting LJC's leadership team, helping to drive growth and expansion, while seeking and securing new project commissions and talent recruiting opportunities. You will be counted on to mentor and nurture the professional development of staff, as well as work across LJC disciplines and parent company Clayco's construction and real estate arms to help our entire enterprise thrive.

The Specifics of the Role
  • Project Delivery: Collaborate with the LJC team, consultants, and clients to deliver exceptional projects on time and within budget through excellent planning, oversight, and communication.
  • Team Management: Manage team, client, and consultant interface and communication on projects.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop project schedules and manage performance to established milestones.
  • Financial Management: Responsible for billings, collections, and profitability associated with projects under your management.
  • Business Development: Capable of organizing and supporting business development pursuits.
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruits and interviews potential applicants to ensure practice growth.
  • Community Representation: Represents LJC in the community and civic events.
  • Core Values: Practices LJC's core values of integrity, humility, and fearlessness.
  • Core Councils: Contributes to LJC's Core Councils (Culture, Integration, Practice, Process, and Sustainability).
Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in architecture and design.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project management.
  • Registration: Preferably a registered architect.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated competence with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD/Revit, MS Office.
  • Communication: Exemplary written and spoken communication.
  • Presentation: Comfort and poise presenting to external and internal audiences.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal relationship-building and colleague-coaching skills.
  • Client Communication: Proficient with client communications and relationship development.
