Position Overview

As an Industrial Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting LJC's leadership, contributing to the firm's growth and outreach. Your responsibilities will include securing project commissions and enhancing our talent acquisition efforts. This role also emphasizes mentorship and professional development for team members, while facilitating collaboration across LJC's various disciplines and the broader Clayco organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the LJC team, clients, and consultants to ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget and on schedule through effective planning and communication.
  • Oversee interactions and communications among team members, clients, and consultants throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring adherence to established milestones.
  • Handle financial aspects of projects, including billing, collections, and overall profitability.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the practice.
  • Participate in the recruitment and interviewing processes to strengthen the team.
  • Act as a representative of LJC at community and civic engagements.
  • Embody LJC's core values of integrity, humility, and courage in all professional interactions.
  • Contribute to LJC's Core Councils focused on Culture, Integration, Practice, Process, and Sustainability.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in architecture or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in architecture and design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management.
  • Preferred registration as an architect.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD/Revit, and MS Office.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence in presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a talent for coaching colleagues.
  • Experience in client communication and relationship management.
