Role Overview:


The ID Card Operations Supervisor is accountable for the oversight, management, and issuance of military identification cards and Common Access Cards (CAC) for eligible personnel, including active-duty military, Reserve and National Guard members, military retirees, family members, and other authorized recipients.

Exceptional customer service skills are essential for this role.

The individual must meet the criteria for Verification Official certification, demonstrating the ability to manage responsibilities effectively while working independently towards achieving organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to Verifying Officials/ID Card Operators at the facility.
  • Compile and present reports detailing workload, personnel accountability, and attendance metrics.
  • Manage the distribution of identification tags and Geneva Convention Cards to military personnel and eligible civilians.
  • Screen visitors, including Soldiers and their families, to ascertain the purpose of their visit.
  • Educate Soldiers and family members on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and the Real-Time Automated Identification System (RAPIDS).
  • Execute all tasks related to ID Card and CAC issuance, including the verification of eligibility and entitlements as outlined in applicable guidelines.
  • Issue memorandums of authorization for access to facilities and services for eligible customers.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on office equipment, including computers and printers.
  • Prepare and format correspondence in compliance with established regulations and guidelines, along with generating weekly and monthly activity reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory role as a Verifying Official/ID Card Operator.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor team members in an office setting.
  • Successful completion of RAPIDS certification is mandatory.
  • Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and security investigation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
  • Demonstrated customer service expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat and Internet Explorer.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
  • Previous experience in CAC or similar government contract roles is advantageous.
  • Understanding of military operations is preferred.
