The Operations Supervisor will ensure the team provides exceptional service with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Direct and support the operations team, offering mentorship and assistance.
- Organize and oversee the rollout of applications, systems, and updates.
- Effectively communicate deployment strategies, progress, and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
Operational Excellence:
- Formulate and execute strategies for the efficient deployment and operation of systems.
- Supervise daily operations to guarantee smooth and effective functioning of systems and services.
- Demonstrate proficiency in documentation, change release protocols, and participation in Change Advisory Boards (CAB).
- Monitor system performance and availability, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Process Optimization:
- Establish and uphold operational best practices and procedures.
- Continuously assess and enhance operational processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Possess hands-on expertise in software development, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the software lifecycle.
- Manage release pipelines proficiently, ensuring seamless software delivery.
Compliance and Security:
- Guarantee adherence to industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline from an accredited institution. Familiarity with asset management and experience working with governmental entities is advantageous.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations, particularly in SaaS environments.
- 5-7 years of experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience managing enterprise applications to meet SLAs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and monitoring solutions.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience leading technical teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing enterprise applications to meet SLAs.
- Knowledge of managing and maintaining SOC1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 certifications.
- Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle or MS SQL Server).
- Capability to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations with limited information.
