Role Summary: The ID Card Operations Supervisor is accountable for the oversight, verification, and issuance of military identification cards and Common Access Cards (CAC) for eligible personnel, including active-duty military, Reserve and National Guard members, retirees, family members, and other authorized recipients. Exceptional customer service skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and support ID Card Operators at the site.
  • Prepare and present reports on workload, personnel accountability, and attendance.
  • Manage the distribution of identification tags and Geneva Convention Cards to military personnel and eligible civilians.
  • Screen visitors, including Soldiers and their families, to ascertain the purpose of their visit.
  • Educate Soldiers and family members on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and the Real-Time Automated Identification System (RAPIDS).
  • Conduct all tasks related to ID Card and CAC issuance, including document verification and entitlement discussions.
  • Issue memorandums of authorization for access to Commissary and Post Exchange for eligible customers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on computers and printers, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Draft and format correspondence in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines, while preparing regular reports on work activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Verifying Official/ID Card Operator.
  • Proven leadership experience in an office setting.
  • Successful completion of RAPIDS certification is mandatory.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and security investigation.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated customer service expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat 6.0.
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
  • Previous experience with CAC or similar government contracts is advantageous.
  • Understanding of military operations is preferred.
