Job Overview

The Operations Executive is tasked with overseeing all facets of a logistics and supply chain operation. This role entails providing strategic direction and supervision in key areas such as performance management, safety protocols, financial oversight, client relations, ongoing improvement initiatives, and workforce development.
  • Lead the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to fulfill organizational goals and meet client expectations.
  • Assess overall operational performance and establish both short-term and long-term objectives that align with the company’s mission.
  • Supervise warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation processes to ensure adherence to company policies, client specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Prioritize continuous improvement efforts to enhance value, service quality, operational effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Oversee safety programs to ensure the well-being of associates, equipment, and property.
  • Manage the budget and financial performance for operations.
  • Develop workforce plans to optimize labor expenses, manage overtime, and improve employee retention.
  • Enhance quality and productivity by establishing performance standards, assessing employee performance, and delivering necessary training.
  • Gather and analyze performance metrics, proposing enhancements for operational efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Ensure a consistent, high-performance experience for both associates and clients.
  • Communicate quality, safety, and client service standards to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Guarantee compliance with safety regulations, procedures, and industry best practices.
Compensation $118,000 based on relevant experience and education.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related business field preferred; 10+ years of management experience with extensive knowledge in a high-volume, fast-paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, and transportation setting; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proven track record in managing financial performance.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and other performance measurement tools.
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADP platforms, including E-Time and Enterprise, is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs.
  • Experience in managing multiple facilities may be required.
