Leidos Holding is in search of a skilled Field Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team and develop innovative solutions to intricate challenges. With a presence across the United States in defense, space, cyber, and commercial sectors, Leidos offers effective, economical engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

Field Operations personnel deliver on-site technical and maintenance support for existing hardware, software, network configurations, and new system initiatives at customer locations. They provide expert guidance for supported products and services, assist with equipment, and oversee electronic installations. Their responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex systems while determining necessary actions to rectify malfunctions or design challenges. Field Operations staff also offer direction for the handling, installation, and utilization of various sophisticated systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

The Field Operations Supervisor will be responsible for:
  • Leading and coordinating field operations and technical support efforts.
  • Training, organizing, and reviewing the performance of contractor sustainment teams.
  • Analyzing and resolving intricate technical issues related to Army SATCOM.
  • Managing routine and complex maintenance tasks for supported SATCOM systems, including communications, networking, antennas, power, timing, signal distribution, and support equipment.
  • Overseeing equipment assembly, configuration, installation, integration, calibration, and testing.
  • Providing technical advice and maintenance services to military SATCOM operators and their supervisors.
  • Leading a field operations team in identifying and troubleshooting system issues, conducting tests with various instruments, and documenting results.
  • Conducting site surveys in support of exercises and deployments.
  • Preparing technical and management documentation and reports.
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of SATCOM equipment for operations.
  • Participating in training exercises and system deployments.
  • Ensuring that Field Operations personnel are ready for deployment.
  • Supporting engineers with system design, integration, and testing activities.
  • Assisting the sustainment team with equipment procurement.
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with operational and maintenance procedures.
  • Managing the field operations team schedule and promptly assigning resources to meet mission requirements.
  • Ensuring workplace safety by identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Providing telephonic support to help resolve complex issues.
  • Coordinating and conducting system and technical training.
  • Supporting customer outreach and business development initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with twelve or more years of relevant experience.
  • Five years of experience in space control.
  • Three years of experience leading a technical team.
  • Expertise in SATCOM planning, operations, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Demonstrated reliability and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
  • U.S. Citizenship and a current U.S. passport.
  • Must reside in the Colorado Springs area or be willing to relocate.
  • Current Secret clearance and eligibility for a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with deployed military mobile or tactical SATCOM.
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience with shift work and scheduling 24x7 rotating shifts.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
