Position: Grant Compliance Specialist

Position Overview:

The Grant Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that programs funded by grants adhere to the objectives outlined in proposals and contracts. This position involves overseeing the ethical and responsible execution of grant/contract activities, ensuring compliance with the policies and regulations set forth by funding organizations and the Agency. Responsibilities include managing data-related tasks such as data collection, quality assurance, and data entry, as well as supporting program development and technology utilization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accurately monitor the policies and requirements of funders and the agency with meticulous attention to detail.
  2. Maintain current documentation and records essential for reporting all facets of grant compliance.
  3. Execute data entry tasks with precision and within designated timelines.
  4. Participate in and/or facilitate monthly meetings with grant program personnel to provide insights on grants and contracts, documenting meeting outcomes as necessary.
  5. Prepare data uploads on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis as required by the funder and/or the Agency.
  6. Assist in the compilation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  7. Support the organization and execution of site monitoring visits.
  8. Draft handbooks and manuals as required by the grant or contractor.
  9. Contribute to the preparation and coordination of renewal proposals for assigned grants and contracts.
  10. Notify the project manager and/or evaluator of any issues related to grant compliance.
  11. Design and manage databases utilizing relevant software (e.g., SPSS, Teleform, Excel, or Access).
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree OR
  • Active enrollment in a college/university at the senior level.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least six (6) months of experience in a social service environment is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills regarding grant status.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Work Environment:
  • Hybrid: Office and Remote.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Travel: None.
