Position Overview:

The role involves providing support to the Grants Manager and departments funded by grants in the organization. This includes assisting in the planning, oversight, and coordination of daily financial operations while ensuring that Avenue 360 Health and Wellness meets its accounting responsibilities related to reporting, budgeting, and compliance in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the billing processes associated with grants for client services.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of grant funds within the financial management software.
  • Track grants and deliver updates to the Grants Manager and relevant department leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with the Grants Manager to finalize all financial reporting, data entry, management, and analysis necessary for grant-related processes.
  • Assist in the review, analysis, and evaluation of the grant budgeting process, ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and standards.
  • Maintain organized files for grant budgets.
  • Aid in the ongoing budget process, which includes compiling, analyzing, and monitoring grant budgets.
  • Establish and keep current reporting files, verifying accuracy upon completion of processes.
  • Conduct year-end closing for grants and support external audit processes.
  • Work in conjunction with the Accounts Payable Specialist to gather data required for monthly financial reports.
  • Engage in quality management and assurance activities.
  • Maintain consistent attendance.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Grants Manager and Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications and Skills:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, with a Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration being highly preferred.


Candidates must possess a solid understanding of budgeting, accounting, and auditing principles, as well as computerized accounting systems and practices. Proficiency in record-keeping techniques and familiarity with basic computer systems is essential.

Ability to conduct technical accounting work related to the audit of financial and statistical records, analyze and resolve issues, maintain accurate records, and prepare clear financial analysis reports is crucial. Candidates should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, accurately assess situations, and adopt effective courses of action while meeting deadlines and organizing work efficiently. Confidentiality and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

A strong foundation in fund accounting is essential.

Continuing Education:
Participation in training mandated by the funding source or required by the licensing board is expected.
