Job Summary

We are seeking an Office and People Coordinator to join our People Team at MycoWorks. This role will provide administrative support and ensure the efficient operation of our Emeryville office space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including ordering supplies, snacks, and team lunches, maintaining office equipment, and organizing office space
  • Assist in organizing onsite meetings and company events, oversee the reception of office visitors
  • Support budget management by processing invoices and reporting on office expenditures
  • Assist with the onsite coordination of new hire orientations
  • Support administration of employee training, compliance, and workplace safety initiatives
  • Monitor the People department's general email inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely manner, process and properly distribute physical mail received by the People team
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations
  • Assist in maintaining a positive work environment and supporting People initiatives related to employee engagement and culture
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the People Team
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative role
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in office management software (e.g., Google Business Suite, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to office management
  • Basic understanding of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Familiarity with HR processes and practices is preferred
  • Able to operate effectively and comfortable working in a fast-moving and constantly changing company
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
