About the Role

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant II to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences for departmental personnel using our interdepartmental and hospital-wide computerized scheduling systems.
  • Prioritize calls through a screening process, transfer calls, record messages, and deliver them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate special projects as instructed, compose memos, transcribe notes, and research and create presentations.
  • Generate reports, handle multiple projects, and prepare and monitor invoices and expense reports.
  • Take and/or transcribe minutes at meetings.
  • Review and distribute daily mail correspondence to the appropriate personnel.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Maintain up-to-date departmental manuals and files.
  • May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget.
  • Meet both department and individual goals.
  • Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.

Requirements

  • Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
    • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
    • Experience in health care or corporate sectors.
    • Proficient in MS Office Applications.
  • Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:
    • Associate degree or higher.
