FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

PURPOSE: The primary objective of this role is to embody Financial Center First CU's mission of promoting financial wellness. This position is essential in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external members by adhering to our core values of Care, Listen, Learn, Solve, and Act.

This role focuses on establishing and nurturing member relationships. Responsibilities include assisting members in achieving their financial aspirations by processing loan applications, opening new accounts, managing existing accounts, and cross-selling products and services, all while ensuring a superior member experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance member relationships through proactive outreach, including calls, scheduled appointments, and branch interactions.
  • Facilitate consumer loan applications by providing comprehensive product information, accurately completing necessary documentation, and ensuring timely disbursement of loans while promoting additional products and services.
  • Educate members on financial literacy, including savings strategies and the development of realistic personal budgets.
  • Recommend or refer Credit Union and CUSO products and services that align with members' financial needs.
  • Process new account requests and provide detailed product information, ensuring accurate completion of applications and related documentation while assessing members' financial needs.
  • Guide members on available electronic and automated service options.
  • Comply with all applicable policies, including those related to check cashing, identification, and security protocols.
  • Engage in community events supported by the Credit Union.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two years of successful sales and service experience in a financial institution or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated strong sales abilities and a track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Comfortable working in a high-traffic environment.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate product offerings, loan policies, and procedures within a short timeframe.
  • Proficiency in relevant Credit Union systems within a designated period.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential; must maintain professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Basic knowledge of arithmetic is necessary.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment and proficiency in a Windows-based environment.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are advantageous.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The role requires physical mobility within the workplace, including prolonged standing and the ability to maintain focus during extended periods of member interaction. Tasks may involve repetitive actions and necessitate a high level of attention to security protocols.
