Position: Customer Service Cashier

  • Efficiently scan and bag customer purchases
  • Be well-versed in all PLU codes and utilize the register PLU reference chart
  • Adhere to Federal and State regulations concerning the sale of restricted items
  • Apply tare weights correctly for scalable products
  • Follow established cash handling protocols
  • Comply with procedures for checks, ATMs, and credit transactions
  • Exhibit a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor consistently
  • Familiarize oneself with the produce department to stay informed about new products and codes
  • Successfully complete weekly produce code assessments
  • Assist Front End Store Leads and Customer Service Managers in managing customer flow to minimize wait times
  • Answer department phone calls with appropriate etiquette
  • Operate Front End equipment safely and correctly
  • Ensure the front end is clean, including sweeping and sanitizing equipment, and organizing the register area
  • Restock and maintain the Front End Department, particularly one's own register, including changing register tape and ribbon as necessary
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Front End Customer Service Manager and Front End Store Lead

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a cashier or checker
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential for positive customer and employee interactions
  • Ability to solve problems and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Self-driven, proactive, and solution-focused
  • Solid foundation in basic arithmetic operations
  • Familiarity with basic computer and register functions
  • Capable of making sound decisions under pressure
  • Reliable and dependable in adhering to scheduled shifts
  • Adept at addressing customer requests and needs

Position Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
