Position Summary:

In the role of HR Generalist, you will be instrumental in the everyday functions of our Human Resources division. Your duties will encompass overseeing various HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits management, and maintaining precise employee records. You will serve as a resource for employee inquiries, aid in resolving workplace challenges, and support HR initiatives and projects. Success in this position will require meticulous attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, and strong interpersonal skills. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to a nurturing and collaborative workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all internal and external HR-related functions.
  • Engage in the development of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Propose strategies to enhance employee motivation.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, conducting reference and background checks, and preparing offer letters.
  • Collaborate with IT and Training Departments to ensure new hire access and training.
  • Work with supervisors/managers to determine seating arrangements for new hires and position changes.
  • Coordinate with new hires regarding their first-day expectations.
  • Conduct orientations and maintain records for new staff.
  • Complete I-9 forms and ensure all required documentation is submitted within the first two days.
  • Coordinate with building management for parking access cards.
  • Follow up with new hires regarding benefits enrollment deadlines.
  • Investigate employee complaints and collaborate with the HR Director to determine appropriate actions.
  • Facilitate employee development plans and performance management processes.
  • Generate reports on performance review dates for supervisors/managers.
  • Ensure timely completion of performance reviews in accordance with company protocols.
  • Manage the employee database and prepare relevant reports.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activities.
  • Assist with budget oversight and payroll processing.
  • Generate monthly overtime reports for management.
  • Stay informed about the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Coordinate and implement employee engagement and appreciation initiatives.
  • Order annual employment posters for all locations.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage termination processes in HR systems.
  • Notify IT and Training Departments of employment terminations.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee files.
  • Process payroll for all employees and contractors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of HR experience.
  • Strong HR administration and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent record-keeping abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including email, Google Workspace, and HR software.
  • Exceptional organizational and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
