We are in search of a seasoned and motivated Permanent Program Director for our Vocational Nursing Program. This role presents a unique opportunity for a qualified individual to lead and manage our innovative educational program. You will play a crucial role within our healthcare team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Vocational Nursing Program, developing, coordinating, and monitoring both faculty and students to ensure adherence to the highest standards of nursing education.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct and manage the Vocational Nursing Program to guarantee top-tier education and training for our students.
2. Design, implement, and assess the curriculum in accordance with current industry standards and regulatory mandates.
3. Conduct regular meetings with faculty and provide mentorship, guidance, and support.
4. Collaborate with faculty and staff to devise and execute strategies for student success and retention.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory entities, including maintaining accreditation standards and preparing for visits.
6. Instruct courses within the program, employing innovative and effective online teaching methodologies.
7. Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that champions diversity and student achievement.
8. Lead the formulation and execution of strategic plans for the program.
9. Engage with industry partners, community organizations, and other stakeholders to establish strong relationships and collaborations.
10. Monitor, evaluate, and initiate strategies to utilize resources across the curriculum to foster a culture of continuous improvement in performance.
11. Advance the university's mission and objectives through systematic evaluation of student learning and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A master's or higher degree from an accredited institution with coursework in nursing, education, or administration.
- At least three (3) years of experience leading a nursing program or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of full-time faculty experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs.
- At least one (1) year of experience teaching in an online educational environment.
- A minimum of four (4) years of continuous full-time experience, or equivalent, as a registered nurse providing direct patient care in various nursing specialties within the past five (5) years.
- Must possess a valid, active license issued by the relevant nursing board.
