Your Responsibilities

The Senior Recruiter plays a pivotal role in collaborating with hiring managers and senior leadership to provide strategic talent consulting. This position is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies that effectively attract high-caliber candidates. The incumbent will work closely with hiring leaders to devise talent acquisition strategies and navigate complex hiring scenarios. Building and maintaining robust professional networks while staying informed about current market trends is essential.


This role requires a seasoned professional adept in employment and staffing methodologies, with the ability to analyze diverse and intricate situations. The Senior Recruiter will identify and present qualified candidates for professional-level roles, exercising considerable judgment and discretion in staffing assignments. Interaction with senior internal and external stakeholders is a key component of this position.

Compensation Overview

In addition to the competitive salary range provided below, UC Irvine offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance the employment experience. Benefits may include medical coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, and various discounts and perks.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $$77,000 - $108,100 (Annual).

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with HR processes and documentation, along with organizational principles.
  • Collaboration with other HR areas concerning employment functions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for conducting needs assessments and problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to identify staffing challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience in conducting complex analyses and formulating recommendations.

  • Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Experience utilizing diverse sourcing techniques, including social media and internet searches.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, HRIS databases, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience with iCIMS.
  • Prior experience in Talent Acquisition within a Healthcare or Academic setting.
