The Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with established standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts repairs and modifications on aircraft structures and components, addressing complex issues effectively.
  • Maintains and services aircraft systems, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
  • Utilizes technical expertise to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore operational integrity.
  • Interprets technical documentation, such as blueprints and manufacturer manuals, to resolve intricate challenges.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of troubleshooting procedures and aircraft repair techniques.
  • Utilizes specialized tools and equipment for maintenance tasks, ensuring precision and safety.
  • Provides maintenance support across various aircraft types in a versatile work environment.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in multiple maintenance disciplines, including egress systems, avionics, and propulsion.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in transient aircraft support and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in aircraft maintenance, specifically in egress systems, within a military context.
  • Certification in ACES II Egress systems is mandatory.
  • Demonstrates reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations professionally.
  • Capable of guiding and mentoring junior technicians during maintenance operations.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to lead teams through complex maintenance projects.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems and maintenance directives is essential.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols regarding hazardous materials is required.
  • Must hold a valid U.S. Driver's License and be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Working Environment:

  • Position may require travel and adherence to specific commuting guidelines.
  • Work will be conducted in aircraft hangars and outdoor environments, often near operational aircraft.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, is necessary.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and potential contaminants is expected.
  • Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure safety.
