The Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and associated equipment, adhering to the Performance Work Statement (PWS), M1 policy, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conducts maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structures and components, including engines, with varying levels of complexity.


• Performs maintenance on aircraft systems such as flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.


• Utilizes technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore operational integrity.


• Interprets technical data, including blueprints and manufacturer manuals, to provide professional guidance in resolving complex issues.


• Requires comprehensive knowledge of troubleshooting and repair procedures for mechanical components, along with expertise in aircraft sheet metal and structural modifications.


• Familiarity with specialized aircraft tools and equipment is essential, including test devices, torque wrenches, and sheet metal tools.


• Will maintain aircraft and support equipment records in accordance with Air Force procedures, utilizing appropriate information systems.


• Engages in transient aircraft support and may take on roles such as CDDAR team chief and QA augmentation.

Qualifications and Experience:


• A minimum of seven years of experience in aircraft structural and metals technology maintenance within a military setting is required.


• Candidates must demonstrate reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism.


• Experience in guiding lower-level technicians during aircraft modifications and maintenance is essential.


• Strong organizational skills are necessary to prioritize tasks effectively and meet aircraft delivery schedules.


• Knowledge of aircraft systems principles, maintenance directives, and technical data reporting is mandatory.


• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License and be able to communicate effectively in English.


• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Working Conditions:


• The position involves working in aircraft hangars and on ramps, often in proximity to operational aircraft.


• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, is necessary.


• Exposure to outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures and contaminants, is expected.


• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to ensure safety in the workplace.
