We are looking for a Community Prevention Coordinator to join our Prevention Team:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with local agencies, educational institutions, neighborhoods, and various organizations to assess needs, resources, and program priorities.
  • Support the Outpatient Services Supervisor in the design, execution, and evaluation of culturally relevant prevention education initiatives for specific populations.
  • Engage in information dissemination efforts, providing education on prevention, substance abuse, tobacco use, and mental health to the public and targeted groups.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding the implementation of prevention programs, including participation metrics, program content, and evaluation outcomes.
  • Participate in designated community and interagency committees to ensure a robust prevention perspective is maintained.
  • Identify challenges faced by prevention program participants that may necessitate more intensive intervention and facilitate appropriate service referrals.
  • Keep informed about other community resources and service programs available.
  • Assist fellow Prevention staff in delivering programs, resources, and addressing family, community, and youth-related issues.
  • Aid the Outpatient Services Supervisor in program planning and outcome measurement activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited institution; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in providing prevention or clinical services.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory DMV record (REQUIRED).
