The Cybersecurity Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in delivering expert tracking, documentation, and artifacts related to the Host Based Security System (HBSS) to the project management team in support of Defensive Cyber Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Navy Assured Compliance Assessment System (ACAS) collection system server and its configurations to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Manage server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, and messaging, while performing systems monitoring.
  • Provide consultation on network, application, and customer service issues to enhance computer systems' security and sustainability.
  • Diagnose and resolve HBSS product server issues and outages.
  • Oversee policy catalog management.
  • Coordinate planning and details as required.
  • Ensure system patches are maintained.
  • Maintain compliance with O/S, SQL, and HBSS STIG.
  • Develop, test, and collaborate with HBSS Support Administrators on internal TTPs/SOPs.
  • Resolve ePO server issues.
  • Administer the ePO server, including automated tasks and database maintenance.
  • Maintain a secure and organized work environment.
  • Complete annual training requirements as mandated.
  • Record daily labor hours in the corporate system.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including familiarity with McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention System and Data Loss Prevention Endpoint products.
  • At least 7 years of experience in server administration.
  • 3+ years of experience with ePO administration or possess a Certified McAfee Security Specialist (CMSS) certification in relevant areas.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is required.
  • General Service (GENSER)/Secret clearance is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and networking principles.
  • Experience with Firewalls is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS) is advantageous.
  • Experience in Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) signature development is a plus.
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to identify issues and devise action plans for resolution.
  • Demonstrated initiative and flexibility in managing multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Flexibility in shift work is required.
